After years spent traversing the wilder realms of house and techno through his productions and DJing, Sam Smith launched Nothing Odd Recordings in 2013 to provide a platform for his music and that of those that inspire him. Concerned with the sustained groove and refined delicacy of stripped down 4/4 dance music, the sound that inhabits Nothing Odd is steeped in cinematic atmospheres, experimental textures and a healthy dose of transcendental psychedelia.

Releases so far have come from Smith under his own name and as Monty The Fly, with the first record “Purple Horizon” coming backed with a remix by British house and techno figurehead Baby Ford.
